My job is to design and build online advertising systems.
Dealing with a complex jungle of distributed systems, cutting edge technologies and cloud computing networks, we're trying to keep up with the massive flow of information that is needed to serve the right advertisements to the right audience. Matching audience data and retargeting data from our inventory and various real time bidding platforms calls for a heavy weight system when thousands of viewers per second need to be served.
Geniee consists a group of young and ambitious experts who are not limited by traditional constraints of big Japanese companies. With our combined expertise we are able to realizing ideas quickly and take online advertising systems to the next level in Japan. Also free beer in the fridge!

As a technologist the biggest thrill is when new designs comes to life and see how well it handles the massive amount of data we are dealing with. We are also having a great time discussing new ideas to improve new cloud- and distributed technologies like Hadoop, Memcache, FPGA data processing beyond their limits.
Besides spending time with my wife an 2 kids, I am still rebuilding parts of our house and there will always things that can be improved. I like to go out eating and I like travel to see other cultures.
The ideal colleague would be a self-starter, self-thinker with hands-on experience in software engineering who is not afraid to explore new ideas and think out of the box. I speak Japanese so don' worry about speaking English or not.
